The Network is pleased to have been asked to forward this invitation to join the National Center of Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE),  a U.S. Dept. of Education and SAMHSA funded organization to all our Network members.  The attached announcement provides more information on how the NCSSLE can help Institutions of Higher Education via technical assistance, resources and a bi-weekly online newsletter.

Dear Colleague,

The National Center on Safe Supportive Learning Environments (NCSSLE) is a U.S. Department of Education and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services-funded organization whose mission includes assisting institutions of higher education and their surrounding communities to proactively strengthen their learning environments and address problems of violence and substance abuse.

Our newly-expanded Center seeks to connect with organizations whose members share these goals, to offer technical assistance, support, training, and resources aimed at improving conditions for learning from early childhood through the college years.

Our Center adds new content relevant to higher education audiences to our website every week.  Campus and community-based prevention practitioners can find useful resources here: http://safesupportiveschools.ed.gov/index.php?id=1492

Kind regards,
